14:6. എന്നാൽ പുത്രന്മാർക്കു പകരം പിതാക്കന്മാരും പിതാക്കന്മാർക്കു പകരം പുത്രന്മാരും മരണശിക്ഷ അനുഭവിക്കരുതു; താന്താന്റെ പാപത്തിന്നു താന്താൻ മരണശിക്ഷ അനുഭവിക്കേണം എന്നു യഹോവ കല്പിച്ചതായി മോശെയുടെ ന്യായപ്രമാണപുസ്തകത്തിൽ എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നതു അനുസരിച്ചു അവൻ ആ കുലപാതകന്മാരുടെ മക്കളെ കൊല്ലാതിരുന്നു.

14:6. But he did not execute the sons of the assassins. He obeyed the LORD's commandment as recorded in the law scroll of Moses, "Fathers must not be put to death for what their sons do, and sons must not be put to death for what their fathers do. A man must be put to death only for his own sin."

14:6. However, he did not kill the children of the assassins, for he obeyed the command of the LORD as written by Moses in the Book of the Law: "Parents must not be put to death for the sins of their children, nor children for the sins of their parents. Those deserving to die must be put to death for their own crimes."

14:6. but the children of the murderers he put not to death; according to that which is written in the book of the law of Moses, as Jehovah commanded, saying, The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, nor the children be put to death for the fathers; but every man shall die for his own sin.
